The W.C.V.I Lighthouse project was a response to an overarching ‘Synthesis’ brief, the tried and true design school assignment of merging two past works into something new. I had just finished my work on the Fort Ward Bunker:Shrine project, and knew I wanted to center in on a site’s cultural heritage, and Beacons had been well received earlier for its new take on way-finding and juxtaposition with site. Using those two as a starting point, this project unfolded.
